Who is Jennifer Baccanello

A Little More Jennifer Baccanello
I’ve always been drawn to the quieter side of travel. I like the in-between parts: early mornings before the streets wake up, grocery stores in other countries, the sound of rain on a rented window. I’m not a checklist traveler. I’d rather find one great park bench than rush through five landmarks.
What I write here is usually small stuff: train journeys, secondhand bookshops, markets, bakeries, old buildings, and the little discoveries that happen when you let go of the plan.
Why This Space Exists
The internet is full of travel content that can feel a bit overwhelming—perfect shots, packed itineraries, must-see lists. That’s not what this is. This space is quieter. I write for people who like to take their time, who are more interested in how a place feels than how many sights they can tick off.
It’s about walking, observing, getting lost, and finding something that makes you pause.
What You’ll Find Here
Slow Travel Notes – Reflections from trips where the pace was slow and the expectations were low (in the best way).
Places to Wander – Cities and towns worth exploring without a plan.
Trains, Cafés, and Small Discoveries – The bits of travel that don’t usually make it into guides but stay with you anyway.
Practical Tips – Nothing glossy, just what’s genuinely helpful if you’re planning something similar.
Personal Essays – Honest thoughts from the road, and sometimes from coming home again.
How I Travel
Jennifer Baccanello don’t chase trends or try to see everything. I travel like I live—slowly, simply, and with an eye for the ordinary. I believe a trip doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. It just has to be honest.
If I find a spot that feels like a good place to sit and think, that’s enough.
If anything here resonates, or if you want to share a story or a place I should visit, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me through the contact us or on social media.
